This is my adventure, my solo adventure, my 12-day trip to retrieve some large paintings my father collected for the twins, who just turned 17 years old. He and my stepmother live in Oregon. I live in Virginia. I flew to Oregon with hundreds of other people on Sept. 22, 2015. I will drive back alone, 2,772 miles. I will crank my music, listen to audiobooks, and watch America go by. Come along for the ride. Help me stay awake.
